Hi,

Would like to seek comment on whether 1 x 250W Mh is prefered or 2x 150W.

or even 2x250W.

Currently I'm using a 1x150W, but think the coverage of the whole tank is poor. Hence, thinking of adding more lighting, then this idea came.....whether 1x250W is sufficient instead or even 2x250W would be better.

My tank is just a 3x1.5x1.5....due to the limited :D width, the sloping effect of the LR is not achieve, hence creating shadow on the lower portion, hence the coral there is not getting sufficient lighting.

I know there are many other parameters that contribute to healthy coral, but I think light being the eaisest to achieve, hence, I hope to give them the best, if possible.

No sps for me, only LPS.

pls comments.

Thanks.

:D

Not able to mix with T5, bec my light is hanging and expose....no cupboard to cover them, so having MH and T5, there will be too many things hanging in the air.....

hmm... i hav problem with mine too... mine oso 3ft... 1x150W hanging type....

wat i intend to do after my exams is to supplement with 2X36W where they will be placed in a way from front to back on both sides beside the MH... :)

hope this gives u some ideas :)

diy it into a single box la? like calciumreef one?

it'll look lot more neater

more or less decided to go for 1x250W.

The casing is cheap and good, no need to DIY... :D

now is just considering what bulb to use...bec BLV has 10000K only for 250W.

<_<
