Reef Fishes for my tank

Hi fellow reefers,

just just completed cycling my tank,

thinking of adding some fishes but had no specific preference yet.

Would like you guys to offer some ideas.

As my tank is only about 2ft cube,

and i really enjoy seeing fishes swimming around carefreely,

hope that you guys could drop me afew suggestions based on the above pointers.

1 yellow tang

1 flame angel

2 purple gobies

haha add them slowly ... say 1 week inbetween each addition of a new species of fish

i presume these fishes would have to be in a relatively small size?

buy clownfish any type except for maroon clown.Pink skunk or occelaris/false percula.They are small buy a pair.

yea all the fishes i mention are pretty small except for the YT .. they can get quite large

i reco u get them all at the same time. with the tank dimension like yours they should shoal ... nth beats a school of fishes swimming in your tank as a shoal man

Green Blue Chromis eh? Seriously speaking, these fishes never caught my eye before. Seem just plain and no distinct characteristic. Guess my taste in fishes is only skin deep.

haha they bring alot of live to the tank. they just cant stop swimming around. a very hardy fish as well good choice for beginners

so should the Chromis be introduced into my tank first,

or i should let other fishes which more shy first?

Chromis you can introduce them first.I was also satrting on my first marine tank.Thinking gettin 4-6 blue green chromis cause they are the most hardy fish.BTW they also used for cycling a tank.

Maybe you wanna try them.

But i think you should not let them into your tank for cycling purposes

now in 1ft nisso with air pump , so hope ur tank cycle fast

It is used when nitrites are present ammonia zero.Ammonia if introduce them sure die.

btw, i saw Chromis over at Reborn yesterday,

quite alot of them and selling at $1 each

besides the Chromis for their activities in the tank,

how about the other options of Anthias?

i know in terms of feeding, it might be a challenge,

but given the beauty of those fishes,

arent they worth the effort?

Or is there too much of an effort compare to Chromis?

haha anthias in my opinion is the hardest to keep... have tried some of those harder ones ... no success

you can try bartletts anthias or tricolor anthias... so far this two anthias are hardy and easy to keep too. of cos when you buy you need to get at least 3 or more.
