Resun Chiller

Hi member, i am thinking og gettng a resun chiller CL-650 (1/4 Hp) for my 3ft tank. did any of the member had tried it b4. report from my friend that it quiet ok as it from China and the price is good. Pls share.

used the CL650 on my 3 ft for about 6 mths and performance wise was ok, just a bit too noisy ... honestly, i like it as in terms of electrical bills, it didnt shoot up at all ...

but then i was using 2 FL ....

I am using it for my 4ft with a 2 ft sump for 11 mths liao....no prob or exp any prolong hours of running like some reefers claimed. It shld be underpowered for a 4FT...but....................

anyway.....cheap chiller, low burden on the bills (phew), but....down side.....Noise.......

I am using a Azoo MH , 2 X 150W, 10000K DE........that will give you a gauge

Thank guys for your kind advise. I intend to put inside my tank cabinet, so i think abit of noise is still bearable. futher more the price is good as compare to other brand.

sump tank: about 100L

lighting: T5 (2*12K (30W) and 2*17K (30W)

sump pump: ocean free 3200 (about 70W)

Po.SK. pump: CR 2000 (about 40W)

IMO go for 1/4Hp cl-650

therefore CL 450 is sfficent for your tank accordin gto your spec le?

try not to put in cabinent. Going to be overworked, cause hot air more difficult to escape..

put inside the cabinent will cauze alot of hot air inside.. yeah? unless u got fans to blow out the air.. woder if long term will the cabinent spoil..

I think CL650 is more than 1/2hp base on 650watt .

For what i know ,400 watt at 230vac is about 1/2hp already!

hi members, thank for all the kind advice. my cupboard got opening in the front and rear. so would that be better? i dont had a space to put outside and my wife dont like it, as you know when a girl no, that mean no way. . so guy, conclusion a cl-450 is already enough for me.
