Chiller issues.

Hi all,

Need some help and advice with regards to a chiller I'm using.

It seems to kick in very often. (CL650)

While running at 2000lph, kick in is every 15mins. (temp stable at 26.5 degC)

But have monitored that the tank temp has not changed much except rise by 0.5 degC and the chiller kicks in.

Need some help and advice if need to go get an external temp meter for the chiller to improve efficiency. (Electric bill has doubled since install this chiller)

And if so, anyone can recommend a service guy or place to acquire the kit to fix up this problem if it is the problem.

Thanks in advice.

Cheers..........

The electricity usage increase because the frequency of the kick in and out is often.

Resun chiller kick in/out with a differential of 2 degree if i am not wrong ... And that would mean that the thermostat is inaccurate as u have noticed that the temperature remain stable at about 26.5.

An external thermostat will solve the prob easily.

hi there bro bivi,

do give Derek of Pac Coo a ring at 90255562. he'll sort out your chiller issues in no time. i suspect there might be something wrong with your thermostat, if not, something wrong with the temp reading.

i bought an external thermostat from derek about a year ago, and its been working like a charm since.

cheers,

ian

flow rate too low is one of the reason which cause the chiller to kick in more frequent
