Why my water have tiny bubbles?

Water that pump out from my sump into my main tankare filled with tiny bubbles. i want it clear and bubble free. How can i do it? My friend told me it is due to piping not tight enough. is it true?

Hi Bro,

Your friend could be right. Bubbles from return pump are commonly caused by the following 2 reasons:

1) Pipings are not sealed properly causing air being suck into the pipes.

2) Water level is too low in the sump where the return pump is. This will create vortex and suck air into the return pump.

one more reason causing mirco bubble is from the skimmer water out pipe. especially beckett user .

I think it is my skimmer and my water level also not very high. I guess many newbie are not aware of this. Tomolo i will add more water! Salt as well! haha! Will update you guys!

Yah... chances of micro bubbles from skimmer will be high if you do not have enough baffle plates or if you place your skimmer outlet at the last compartment of the sump.

one compartment before the pump. I only have 2 compartment so how to prevent it? nothing wrong with the piping leh!

in my 2-ft tank, the micro bubbles came out from the hang-on red sea prizm skimmer. is that normal? or i hv to control the flow to reduce the bubbles?? thanks for any advise out there...

after checking i still have problem. sgould i seal all connection with white tape? i hate to see those tiny bubbles.

put some sponge filter media before the return pump to 'absorb' the micro bubbles
