SRC Member Nitro Posted April 2, 2009 SRC Member Share Posted April 2, 2009 Started with Tropic Marine (normal grade), switched to Kent Marine (intro by another reefer), now switched to Deltec. So far, I find these 3 brand very good. Too bad no one bring in Kent Marine anymore due to high shipping cost.

FuEl
FM salt.......loving it Cheers, James Just did Triton lab test for SPS frag tank running on this salt. Heavy metals with 0 microgram/L reading: Mercury, Selenium, Cadmium, Arsenic, Copper, Antimony, Titanium. Heavy metals detected: Lead (0.00101 ppm), Aluminium (0.089ppm), Tin (0.00307ppm). While these are detected, the values are still much lower than most average aquaria. *Test has not been conducted with freshly mixed salt so cannot rule out contamination of the above metals from other sources (magnets, pumps, thermostat probe, etc). The above-mentioned values are as important in salt as basic values, these will accumulate over time if regular water changes are not made. This purity is often reflected in the retail price of the salt, it takes a lot of QC to make sure there is negligible amounts of heavy metals. Quote Always something more important than fish. http://reefbuilders.com/2012/03/08/sps-pico-reef/

I don't have the means to run a water test on it but I know this fm salt rocks from the observations of my corals especially LPS....for my sps, I don't even need to use colour elements. JK: Do I get a discount on my next bucket of fm salt for good publicity? hee!
