In my opinion is better than weipro, the plastic material is of better quality. Weipro collection cup need to be removed carefully as not to crack it. Macro skimmer need to adjust the height of water level in the skimmer and the correct amount of foam generation by using the correct pump size.

i've been using the Macro venturi one for abt a year,

if you have a low bioload, i guess its ok.

i had to constantly tune the thing in order to get good skimmmate,

and the bubbles produced are not as thick as i like..

i had a look at the new designs at Aquarama,

seems to me they have copied the designs for the

needlewheel...

it might be a good buy, think flubberina and morgan bought one,

you might wanna ask them for their reviews after a few weeks of using

personally, i'd save up and buy a better skimmer.

im using an old model of macro bought from another reefer. as bum has said, regular adjustments has to be done to perform good skimming and make sure it doesnt overflow.... it sure is doing quite a good skimming for my 4ft tank but i would reckon fellow reefers to buy better ones if budget is not a constraint.....

I think you should use the RedSea Berlin Venturi Skimmer , which is of to date is the best that I know around. It's more pricy then the rest but it's worth the money spent! foam fraction is excellent and good for ozonization

you might wanna try the needle wheel design.

was selling $140 at aquarama, dunno how much when it hits the stores though.
