Lets be precise; Left one mandarin, one scooter, one fire shrimp, one electric flaming scallop, one starfish, one fat tube worm, one clam/scallop(dno??) came with the live rock. The corals should i dump? or hope that it will regenerate?

Btw, all the living things are all small size one. Corals ; half dead orange tree spongex2, bits n pieces of blue sponge, one mucus shredding sea fan, one half bleached green polyp(gionopora?), one half dead red zoanthid, one leather coral, one empty pink tubeworm shell n FINALLY......... LOTS OF ALGAE!!!

Wat to do now?

What kind of filtration do you use?

Would recommend you to change 1/3 to 1/2 of the tank water.

Think you need a good skimmer.....to remove the mucus from the dying sponges and sea fan.

Run some carbon to absorb the chemical released by the above which the skimmer can't handle.

Monitor the situation for a few days and then act accordingly....ie change water again if necessary or remove and throw away those invert that is beyond help.

Sorry for so many posts at one time. Erm, i have an idea of a hospital tank. Will u think that will be a great help? And how should i set it up? Can someone pls guide me? Should i then separate the dying corals into the hospital?? Or not a wise idea? Must hospital tank be filled with LR and must be cycled??

Prepare your water and leave it overnite......make sure that the parameters are the same as your tank and then you proceed with the change.

Very little risk if you do like this.

Would suggest that you invest in a good protein skimmer.

Canister filters are not really good for marine......everytime you cleaned them is like cycling your tank again
