What To Feed Starfish?

Hi Guys,

Am new to all this inverts. Just got myself a starfish the other day. Please advise on what to feed it with. Don't want to starve it to death.

ahahah...can show some pic of it ?

cos there are many species of starfishes...

some eat corals...some eat algae...some eat this and tat.

so need to identify it first then can determine wat it feed on.

It is Indian Brittle Starfish.

Fromia Indica...feed on junk foods...which means any uneaten food and stuffs...

dun really need to feed it if u do feed your fishes.

it will search for food on it's own.

but if u wan, u can still feed it with what u are feeding now.

just place it besides it...

they seem to move very slow in my tank is there a problem?

not a prob. starfishes normally will look for food at night and move during this time.

sometimes when they dun feel like moving, they will just stay there.

unless u see them releasing some stuffs and body starts to curl up, it'll be fine.

My starfish actually move very fast around the tank. This minute here, half an hour later already somewhere else. Crawls on everything. I just got another starfish. This one hardly moves. Let me see if I have a pic

So far my star fish like quite happy. Moves around quite fast too. I try to leave bits of food (blended mixture of seafood) beside it but the wrasse keeps getting it so I hope it manages to get some.

yes that shd be a fromia ... i hv 2 in my tank & so far they hv been here there n everywhere just scavenging for bits n pieces... i dont feed them anythign at all specifically
