SRC Member chrislwp Posted November 5, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted November 5, 2003 From the pic, the color range is around 25mg/l. What is my NO3 value actually? I see some ppl measure in ppm, how to I get that value? Quote Tank 4x2x2.

Achilles Tang
Get a titration method test kit like Salifert for accuracy. Colour changes are a headache to judge esp. in poor lighting and the state of your eyes! To me it looks like its somewhere between 25 and 50! If u compare the pic from chris, the color difference for the last 3 zone is not obvious. I'm using tetra for NO3 also and my chart is similar to Chris type. SRC Member jc85 Posted November 5, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted November 5, 2003 I guess spider download the image and brighten, and upload it. So your No3 is high too ah.. I used to have high nitrate after cycling too. But manage to get it down to 12.5mg/l since. Was having problem trying to figure out which zone it falls in. Luckly, 12.5mg/l color is quite obviuos to me. Quote Earth Conservation Blog My Marine Blog For All Sengkang Residents

SRC Member jc85 Posted November 5, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted November 5, 2003 Actually, it still serve its purpose since nitrate above 50mg/l is definitely too high liao. KingFish
chrislwp, Don't mind my observation, but isn't the water level in your fuge and sump a little too high for comfort?

Haha.. don't worry.. cause I off my return pump already.. so the water is higher. When the pump is on, the water is ½ the sump high.
