hi,

i bought two dartfish and i saw them in day one, then after that nvr saw them again.

does anybody know whether its normal that these fishes are hiding or dead?

the rest of my livestock are well.

i got lots of nooks and caves ...

4 clowns , 2 hermt crabs n a damselfish.

i bought 2 dartfish 2 days ago , i saw them swimming and yesterday, they nvr come out.

shld still be hiding in the LR...could be due to chasing by the resident damsel. If not, check yr floor as they're known to be good jumpers...

sometimes they hiding under the rocks. known to hide up to three days - just continue feeding the rest of the fishes like normal, hopefully by then they will be hungry to come out and take food. Desperate case then try to move or rescape the rocks a little to try to chase them out.

A very interesting situation. How long have you not seen them? They never come out from hiding during feeding time?

These gobies can hide for many days without feeding.

I thought mine were dead after I didn't see them for quite a few days.

They started coming up after they were comfortable with the surroundings.

You just have to make sure that the top of your tank is covered or have high walls because I've found one of them on my floor...all dried up!!!

They usually jump out when they are threaten. mine jump into the filter system and end up dead.
