Fluval Cannister

Any aquarists using the a/m? Need some comments before i commit. it comes with 3 yrs warranty. Btw, im looking at either the 204 or 304. Cheers..

Personally i would recommend you to get an Eheim if u need a canister..

Used a fluval many years ago and it was a horrible experience

For one, whenever u restart the pump for water to flow, u wld have to pump it manually from the top of the canister as the motorhead isnt that strong..

After a while too, the o-ring would tend to expand each time u clean the canister and that makes it difficult to do maintenance...

The choice is yours but always keep in mind whenever choosing a canister or other equipments that spare parts must always be easily available in LFS

I own a Fluval FX5, 204 and a 305 and non of them have had any problems at all. The FX5 is the standout performer, heaps better than a eheim in terms of performance:price ratio..
