white film on clown body

Hi guys,

I am still new to marine. I just lost 1 false clown. There is a white film on its body and its peeling off and it got worse and died. My 2nd one start to see the white film too. Pls help . Thanks in advance.

Oh dear, not a very good sign. Looks like the dreadful velvet to me. Once my clownfish also kanna it and then it spread like wildfire to the other fishes.

Better to fish it out quickly and put it in a nursing or quarantine tank. For me, l use Seachem celated copper in a seperate tank (NOT MAIN TANK) and my affected clownfish and other fishes recovered well. However, you must follow the instruction closely and also must have copper testkit as any overdose will likely to kill the fish instead.

Thanks. The 2 clowns gone and now a damsels also kanna but cant catch it. Its too fast for me to catch it.
