Sandbed dirty

Hi,

My tank sandbed is veri dirty, is there any way to clean it? does putting a sand siftin star n sme golden sleeper gobies help cleanin it up?

For myself, i stirr the sand so that the filter might catch them.

i tried tis method, but it settle dwn quite fast n oso liverock caught a lot of sand

You may try increasing the water flow in your tank to stir up some of the dirt on your sandbed.

I tell you that the best way to clean your DSP is getting the donkey dung.

Unless u got a 2ft tank.

Donkey dung is huge! It can easily raech half length of ur tank. Makes ur tank looks like a toilet bowl wif a big chunk of crap inside

Siphon out the dirt whenever u do water change.

i have a donkey dung in my 2 footer and he's doing alright. can sometimes be a slim 5 incher, sometimes a stubby 2 incher.(i'm talking about the cucumber). took him like 2 months to realise his job is on the sandbed though. thought he was a freeloader for the first 2 months, he was on the rocks, sticking onto the sides of the tank, anywhere but down there. now, he's the most hard working crew in my tank.

sea cucumber like in said is the best ... can try sang shifting star , zebra hermit crab .....

AHhaha..i can't help but comment that your description of the sea cucumber reminds me of something else...
