hahaha...did u buy it when it's small ?

think u need some time to tame it...how long did u keep it ?

My coral banded at first was very fierce and it ate up one of my cleaner...

but after i keep on adding cleaner the proper way and letting them to adjust to the environment...

soon i see that my coral banded shrimp are together with my cleaners..

very nice scene..

best is that i witness my coral banded cleaning my tang...

hahaha...after all it's a cleaner shrimp too but they only clean big fishes...

If u witness a coral banded shrimp cleaning during captive time, it's rare and it's really fortunate for u...

so just keep on trying...maybe can add in more cleaners...

it's like...when u are the biggest around, u rule the place but when the small form a group, u will retreat to ur own cave.

Cheers. good luck.

 take out the cleaner then...it wun get infected if no wounds...feeder will grow back during molting...feel it with brineshrimp...

for now, just take out ur cleaner first...waiut until ur boxer find it's territory for sometime..

then u try to add in cleaner in another territory when ur lights are off...

it's normal for shrimps to molt like once every 3 weeks...as long as there is enought iodine in the water for them.

Mine's grown to 2 inches (body length) from about 1 inch when i got it. Molts every month. Not too aggressive when small. Now it is the 2nd ranked. The yellow tail damsel is no. 1.

Hi guys got a question.

A few days ago when I reached home at night I saw my cleaner shrimp molded its shell, and I just decided to do a 20% water change with no particular reason.

The very next day mornig I saw my cleaner shrimp dead and the boxer shrimp was feeding on it. Did the boxer shrimp kill it or it or the cleaner shrimp just died on its own after molding? Has it got to do with my water change?

Anyway they bought them together about 1week ago and everything is fine.

Hi bro,

Crustaceans moult as they grows. After moulting they will be venerable as their new shell is still soft (that's how we can soft shell crab) and will take several hours to harden. I guess your cleaner shrimp may be attacked by the coral banded shrimp during this time and don't think it will have anything to do with your water changes.

HTH ;)

Last night bought a bigger clown to accompany a small clown I bought more than 1 week ago, this morning saw the boxer attacking the new clown and it was swimming side way.. I quickly scoop it out but died soon after that..

I am sick of this boxer already..

Should I ditch this boxer
