good day.

after a year into this hobby i thought off upgrade my 4fts fowlr to 6fts fowlr.

current 4fts(partition tank):

-10mm high density glass tank wit overflow and sump

-jebo uv36v

-ozoniser(cant remember e brand)

-3' grade one coral sand

-atman return pump 4000/85v

-live rocks 80-90kgs

-t5 4fts light(2blue and 2white)

-needle wheel skimmer and dymax ls30 w powerhead2500

-puple&brown tang + king angel + maroon clown + few damsel breed(10x) + annularis angel + fox face(2x) + black cube cucumber + koran + pbt + butterfly(not sure name)

QUESTIONS/SUGGESTION:

1) can anyone pls recommend what i should add or which i should reuse for my new 6fts tank?

2) any trustworthy tank maker to recommend?

3) would like to add chiller(hse usually very warm and dont like the idea of leaving cabinet door open4cooling purposes)-any recommendation?

i would like to re-use as many stuff as i can to reduce cost and prefer a simple tank with easy to maintain equipments.

thx

Hi bro,

I also use to keep a 4ft tank and upgrade to a 6ft tank. Normally for such upgrade, most of the equipment cannot be used from the 4ft.

Basic for a 6ft fowlr base on my exp.

1) return pump - 8000-10000L/H ( good turn over rate)

2) Large Skimmer - That will be base on budget (support up to 1000-2000L)

3) Ozoniser - Find a good brand like sanders (min C200)

4) Lightings - 5ft T5 is fine....im currently using 2x80watts only

Partition tank will be fine for fowlr. Make sure u have a width and height of 2.5ft which will be great.

LR can be used from the existing setup. Chiller is not required

Estimate spending - @ 6-10k basic setup with good equipments.

hi wow 6-10k???

do you mind if i chat with you over the phone?ill be back from perth tmr.

pls sms me@98453428 your no and ill call you when free.

im still looking around for tank maker. trying to cut cost thats why prefer to re-use some of my stuff eg skimmer,uv36v and ozoniser.

thought of chiller cos my place is very warm. from my current experience temp can easily hit 30-32*c.

thats why i always keep half of tank door open and wife dont like it-ugly she said.

she is more concern on the cabinet design and for me more for the tank.

thx for responding.
