Hello...

I have a Resun 280 Chiller and it says the min. flow rate should be abt 800lph...

I was wondering if there is a max flow rate for such chillers??

and what would happen if i put a very high flow rate to run the resun chiller...

I was thinking of running it using a sicce multi which runs at abt 2500lph...

what are the consequences??

help me pls.. <_<

haha... thank you...

in that case should be no problem bah...

was wondering if anything bad would happen....

IMO...if the flow of the water that is passing the chiller is too fast, the chilling duration will be longer.

when the flow is slow, it gives u quality return.. ;)

i believe sicce extrema seem to have a high head loss according to the chart provided by them. i am unsure of the sicce multi ...

the recommended minimum flow rate is 900l/hr f i still remember correctly but they did not provide the upper limit like arctica... i guess a rate of 1500l/h through the chiller is still okie. considering the head loss and pipe friction, my flow through the chiller might be just 1500l/hr.

anyway if u find ur 'kick in time' unusually short , the flow might be too slow , usually long, the flow is too fast . sit in front of ur tank and start using ur stop watch =)
