actually 210-250w for pump consumption is not too bad..since 1 X md70 can easily match or even outperform the flow rate of 3 X eheim 1260 under pressure applications(high head for return pipeworks, skimmer etc)..in fact those pumps used for ponds for kois consume even more power!! i just found out my dad's pond pump is running the same wattage as my aircon chiller!!and he has 6 of them running!! i guess iwakis are more suitable for tanks above 5 ft to justify for its power consumption!
