Need Help On Zoos

Just bought some zoos from Pasir Ris Farm on Sunday, Did a 25% water change with sea water the same day. However none of them are open till now. By the way just did a 30% water change again yesterday with synthetic salt. No changes this morning either.

Water Parameters:

NO2 = 0

NO3 = Between 25 - 50

PH = 8.3

KH = 5

PO 4 = 0.10

Anyone can figure whats happening.

Hi, whenever I bought new colonies of zoos, I would do a freah water dip to rid of unwanted pests such as worms, nudis etc. I would also placed the zoos under moderate flows and on spots where the zoos could receive lightings for growth.

Questions...

1. Did u placed the zoos under sufficient lights ?

2. Were the zoos on moderate flows? IMO, zoos opened up in a moderate to high water flow condition

3. Were there white spots found on the zoo colony ? If yes, would like to suggest u to cut the infected portion off to prevent further spread

is ur tank an established tank ?

Kh seem a bit low, try to buff to at least 8

check for nuidi too.

No white spots. I gave it a fresh water bath for 3 mins last night, and it released some purple slime, didn't know what was it. now still not opening. My tank is a year old already. Ammonia is zero. How do i know if it is dead?

some zoos takes slightly longer time to open. give them some time. dead zoos got some foul smell and looks abit like melting off

dead zoas will become brown.. it will look dead lar haha. moldy and algae all over. recently got 2 colonies didnt open also ... all my other corals are fine though

guess wat , just bought another colony of zoos from reborn just to see if there is problems with my water. It opened within half an hour. just figuring out what the guys at the farm did while packing the corals, i bought an elephant ear together with the zooz as well, it looked fine while at the shop but once i unpacked it from the bag, i saw a bad tear on the body.never going back there again.

i just gotten my zoo for a wk.. 2 small pieces is opening up very well. but the big zoo always only have half of the polyps open. the other half is semi open only. can it be due to pests?

check for nudi. u cant miss those buggers. do a fw dip..

i din see any nudis till now. but i notice that most of the polyp are something like flaking. rem reading something bout spider on zoos. possible?

water parameters.......add sufficient buffer. ? I find the A,B,C package from Jireh marine shop in west coast,very useful/efficient

a few polyps of my zoos start releasing a brwnish thread from their center? whats that?
