boxing crab/pom pom crab

i just bought this crab from ah beng's today ... this crab carries a baby anemone in each claw to defend itself. its reef-safe but i keep it a refugium to be safe from my angels, longnose hawk, hogfish.. so far its doing ok ... but i just wanna be sure.. any one keep be4 ?

Take note ur Hawkfish might turn it into a snack .

having exam now ... no time to take ... will do so few days later when papers end... im keeping it in a refugium with only one crab .. doing well so far .. accepts brine and mysis only if i place it really near where it is ..

anyone knows if it will be agressive towards other inverts? i intend to throw in some ###### shrimps and other nice small inverts in the refugium ( actually a large nursery box ) ..

Nope imo it is not aggressiveat all. I have one together with my porcelain crab, fire shrimp, cleaner shrimp and pistol shrimp. It doesn't disturb my snails too (nasa snails, turbo, astrea). hope tat helps

I also have one in my tank.. seldom see it.. never disturb my corals nor did i see it feed...

it ate my spiny lobster, 4 times bigger than the pom pom crab. tear open the shell and eat it inside until empty

ur lobster most likely dead before it can do anythin to it .. coz pom pom hands cant tear open stuff .. they are mainly for catching planktons .

but if ur lobster is dead it will savage for its flesh .
