Hi jervis,

i have a problem that i thought perhaps you have a solution for!

my male black cap (i hvae a pair) has acquired quite an appetite for any shrimp that can fit into its mouth. and i've since lost 8 ###### shrimp (all of which were in my care for more than a year at that point) plus two urocaridella sp yellow arrow shrimps. how ah?

Bro Iantoh... that's a tricky situation... I'll suggest you avoid all the tantalizing shrimps for the time being I heard you bought a very nice piece of Birdsnest the other day

actually, now that its sitting in my tank, i'm not so excited already. i thought it had the potential to be a ponape varient, but though the polyp extension is fantastic, i havent seen much of a change in colour to warrant my initial bet la. all the same, you win some lose some!

are you gonna be at the shipment tomm? im not sure ill recognise you if i see you, but do say hi if you somehow spot me ya.

Ponape Seriatopora (Pink and Green) thrives under moderate light and moderate flow... since I have 2 pieces... I will move 1 piece lower with lesser flow... will update you

Moved a browned-out SPS (due to crisis) over to this tank... 2 ###### Shrimps immediately hosted it... seems like a mating pair to me... they even share food

They even play "hindi-syle" around a thick branch I think the SPS cannot make it already

Added a Hydor Flo to my return... this little gadget is quite fascinating actually

Time to change the T5 tubes... it's around 1 years 2 months old

This 2ft fixture is so light compared to my 4ft 10 tubes version

The correct way of changing T5 tubes... I changed 1 x Aquablue Spezial and 1 x Blue Plus... the remaining 2 x Aquablue Spezial will be changed next week This will ensure a smoother transition to minimize the impact to the corals

I made the tubes facing opposite directions for easy identification next week

I think it really depends on your fixture and the brand of the tubes... the ballast used and ventilation also play a part... since I am not keeping SPS in my 2ft (yet)... I guess 1 year is quite realistic
