SRC Member big_ben102000 Posted February 6, 2007 SRC Member Share Posted February 6, 2007 either your water is too low that air is able to get in it or the joints of your pipe are not tight? check whether a vortex is formed on the water surface of which the pump is in. if there is try to distrupt the water currents in that region so that a vortex doesnt form. hope this helps

Had once experience this before when the water in my sump is too low that causes this to happen & it can due to the filter sponge got choke with some algae & debris that could also disrupt the water from having a smooth flows to the piping. Happy reefing!
