Ways of getting of Mantis Shrimp

Hello fellow reefers,

My friend has this problem. He recently found out that he has a Mantis shrimp in his 5ft tank. Therefore was wondering out there if there are any known way or known predator that will kill the Mantis shrimp.

Reason being this guy has being killing those poor gobies one by one like flies...

How big is the mantis, if its small, many wrasse such as lyretail wrasse or even harlequin tusk are known to feed on mantis but FYI these fishes are not reef safe. Not sure if dottyback will help???

The mantis shrimp is about 5cm long.Can't get the actual size coz that guy swam to fast....

I used ph buffer to flush out the fellow. Mine was ard 1" big.

even if i flush it out its veri difficult to catch it...therfore i need something to kill it...

think your friend should temporarily remove all fish and prey, and house them in another tank until the mantis starves to death.

A 5cm mantis sounds too dangerous. By the way, they can hold their stomachs for months with no food, not worth the wait if you trust me. I'm housing two giant mantis in my office, i learned:)

as a last resort, put a in a full-grown trigger.....guarantee sure die one.

Have read sumwhere that an octupus is also a great tool in removing such nasties, but your current LS needs to be evacuated first..
