there is no gurantee as long as its call angel to whether biting e corals..

they just love to bite at e slime layer on e coral which is used to protect e coral..

hav another pygmy angel which is not so pretty...

e white tail pygmy angel...

which species dun bite e corals most huh?

i hear from net... some angels dun like some smell from certain corals..

thts y it determine y sometimes angels bite or not the corals...

rather than some heng sway thingy....

I have a flame and a golden angel in a soft and lps tank. They dont botther the corals.

I am experimenting with fingers, leather, buttons, and elephabt ear corals with my Earspot n Potterri, angels in the new FOWLR tank refugium. After about 3 weeks, so far no problems.

I had a Herald angel that was ok in the coral tank for a few months and then it started to nip at the corals. Had to remove it withy great difficulty in the end.

I mostly take pics of my angels in my quarantine tank (airstone) as once they get into the main tank, it is very difficult to photograph the shy fellows.

The centropyge angels that I have and dont have a good pic of to show are: a Potteri, a African Flameback, a Golden angel, a Eibl, a lemonpeel, a midnight angel.

I had a Multi bar angel from the philipines but it did not survive a week in the quarantine tank.

wow that is good news cos I am thinking of introducing 2 x flame angel to my lps tank.

only consideration is whether they will eat up my lps...

Finally got my flameback, one of my fav pygmy...however, i am worried that it will destroy my corals...anyone has experienc with it before? Pls share

I have a African Flameback in a FOWLR tank with some buttons, finger , leather, elephant ear corals. Has not damaged the corals but u never know.

I saw a LFS in Hong Kong with a flameback in a sps tank. The Flameback was still there six months later when I revisited the HK LFS. Probably means that specimen was reef safe. As in any pygmy angel it depends on the individual fish.

U must be prepared to remove the flameback if it attacks your corals.

Thanks! I am keeping my fingers crossed...so far so good. I not worried for the LPS but more for the polpys and button corals.....so far it is nipping the rocks
