What's wrong with my button polyps

Recommended Posts

This is my first humble 6 weeks old 2ft tank. Tested NH3-0,NO2-0.05,NO3-6mg/l.

However my button polyps don't open as usual after my first 10% change of water.

Water parameter same as before. What happen?

Also my first tomato clown introduced 2 days agao died on me today. Its body seems to be covered with slime or something white films like peeling off its body. How can this disease be cured and do I have to do partial change of water before introducing fish into tank again?

Just to share for FW dip, need to make sure PH and temp same as main tank, not just put fish into any FW tank. Read this from website, although I myself have not tried, think is too stressful for the fishes.

My PBrT was full of ich few days ago, now OK liaow, look like to me. Did not try the FW dip, as my PBrT still eat alot during ich period, so I just chop a couple of onion and throw into main tank, did know if this cure the fishes.

IME, sounds like you have brooklynellosis, very common Clownfish disease.

Most probably inherited the parasite from the lfs. Stress might have aggravate its condition. :eyeblur:
