Those are not Green Grape... but yes, they help remove NO3 and PO4 just like Chaetomorpha :lol:

I remember reading some notes on certain macro green algae that they may go sexual and cause problems to the water chemistry. Chaeto is good because it doesn't do this.

Can someone confirm if this is Caulerpa (one of the many different variants)?

im not too sure either..

but well..

its been growing steadily in my tank..

and you guys know my tank condition is zilch..

i dont think its caulerpa as it does not have the grapey grapey thingie..

I got something that looks like this before and I was told that it is Caulerpa. There are many different species and from your close up pic, it really resembles my Caulerpa. The grape stuff doesn't appear round or sphere-like, instead, they may appear like a cone (think Cornetto ice-cream :D). The roots also look like my Caulerpa.

Let's hope the pros can come in and identify. :)
