hi all,

thinking of getting a tank with an IOS system. will it work or will it jusr become a nitrate factory?

if IOS not advisable then i forgo the IOS part. save money

will a canister filter work well if i clean it every month?

one more thing, is a 3 feet tank (6MM) with full bracing be safe? (brace on all sides of tank) went to bio-ocean yesterday. kinda like his 3-feet tank. (height 2 feet)

Hi, there is a post on the two different type of IOS... read up on it. I think what you are getting is the one with the filtering compartment built in... This model lacks the flexibilty of upgarding of method of filtering due to the limited space in the tank... Do you planning before commiting into buying one. ;)

Design your tank and type of filtering you need b4 buying the tank is always better than getting the tank 1st then finding you got no choice but to use certain filters later.... :D

Just my opinion!!

Cheers

:peace:

There is a reefer who own a 5ft tank staying in the west area with IOS system , and his tank is wow ! so i guess it works for him ...
