When you dose, you must also measure. This may sound rude but dosing is useless without measurements.

Besides good water quality, the specifics to watch out for are:

1. CONSTANTLY high MG >1000

2. good healthy population of coraline to start off with

3. lighting in the blue spectrum 20KK

That's about it. I say constantly is because it wil be no use if now MG 1200, next moment at 700 then go up to 1000 then back to 500. Keep it constantly high. fluctuations are generally not good lar, for any parameters.
