Cycling the Tank

Just a question, is it a must to put a raw prawn to cycle the tank ?

No, any source of nitrogen to start the cycle will do. Some pellet food or even die off from rocks will start the cycle.

SO just by putting in live rocks and let it cycle for 3 - 4 weeks will do ?

uncured liverocks. dont use a timeframe to judge cycle completion. use test kits.

different time frames for different tanks. for more accuracy, do what spiderone said. get some test kits and test religiously.
