anyone has any suggestions ? it freaking skinny right now

Before you bought it, you should have make sure it is feeding on food that was given instead of natural food. If the LFS owner refuse to test it for you to see, then try not to buy from him. Clown tangs are not very rare, many other LFS will definately have it. Tangs may be hard to make it get use to eat what we throw in when it's in a tank with other fishes, it is better to isolate one alone, throw in all kinds of food and remove any uneaten, I'm sure it will be easier to train them this way.

red Bamboo maybe a bit diff. not all tangs like it. You can get those Red Grapes or seaweed from lfs. As for my Purple tang, it take only seaweed for quite sometime then only started to take frozen foods. I did not feed Red Grape due to space contraints. Price wise, Red Grapes algea is much cheaper lol :whistle

As long the fish start eating, then should be quite safe. somemore you said it has been with you for more than 2 weeks. No worry :peace:

bro.. sad to hear that, i suggest one of the LFS - SeaLife just opposite Robinson Hotel, the uncle very nice too and it feef pellets for you to see before purchasing, but slight higher price. I bought my BT from there after 1 fail attempt not knowing it feed before purchasing, this time round... my BT very healthy and feeding on all kinds of food.

Clown tangs are notorious for poor survivability. Try getting them small, so they will unlearn their habits by watching other fishes eat prepared foods.

You should have introduced nori bits, all tangs will go for them.

yeah get it small..

I got my first clown tang from paris ris farm and it wasnt eating and died. learn my lesson about this tang.

Then i got my second clown tang from Sealife and it has been doing well in my tank ... it's been with me for a month and so right now ..hehe... strong and healthy and rushing for pellets or whatever food you throw in.

Sealife has a lot of feeding clown tangs in small size now. The uncle there trained them well to feed pellets.

Actually if u ask me about pricing i feel it the same one la... depending on your dealing with the uncle there.. haha;) and anyway paying slightly a bit higher is worth it for this fish!

Don't give up bro. i believe you will succeed someday.
