Acclimation for Chaeto???

Does Chaeto or other algaes needs acclimation before introducing it into my refugium? Or will there be any harmful things I need to remove on it(by putting in freshwater dip, etc) before putting into the refugium?

Not sure though...

But in my own experience, i did dip my new chaeto in fresh water for abt a min as there were many small brittleworms living in it. So far no prob after a week in my sump tank.
