How to use Prizm Skimmer

Been running my prizm for a month now and have been observing it

there's a control to control the amount of water flow. more water into the venturi pump will mean more bubbles.. rate of bubles too high will cause the collection cup to fill very fast. Too low rate of bubbles got no skimmage

is there like an optimum level that i need to adjust to?

Bro:

I used prime skimmer for six months and I quiet like it. I normally turn the control 45 dergee from its horizon ( total 'off') position. At this point, you may hear a bit of noise. When i just finish the water change, I turn it at 60 dergee to make it faster as just after the water change, there are many tiny partices to be sucked out.

it depend whether u wanna achieve wet skim or dry skim... many advocate wet skim and tune it to the fullest without it overflow into the skimmer collection cup.

so what's the diff between wet skim and dry skim leh? currently the bubbles are just flushed with the top of the skimmer so the skimage is quite wet lar. before that there were times when i had drier skimmage.

I quite like the prizm too! what i first bought it, i was worried about the noise but the motor is not noisy at all. just the bubbles thats noisy.
