Is that my longnose hawk?:cry: Been with me at least a yrs! Maybe there are aggressive fishes chasing it?

Sorry Bro KennethK, it indeed was your Long Nose Hawkfish  .

Remember I asked you if it would jump? because I've read from somewhere before that these guys are prone to jumping and should cover the tank. But who in Singapore cover their Marine tank right? Only in the temperate countries that they cover the tank and use heaters.

Anyway, it was happily catching live baby mollies the night before. Just that it liked to rest on some equipment (thermometer probe, filter outlet pipes) near the surface of the water.

Indeed it like to rest on equipments but i neber encounter it jumping. Should be aggressive fishes chasing it ie. tangs. Only encounter my wrasse jumping but i have lights as cover. Try another longnose, it's a nice fish to have esp when they take off from their resting area during feeding time.

I believe fishes will not jump for no apparent reasons. I have a clown fish and solar wrasse that jumped out of the tank. But I noticed that they have been stressed by more agressive fishes before they decided to commit suicide.

Therefore when u notice that a stressed fish is near the water surface, do watch out for it....
