Yes your rocks are pretty purple... well done :) Are you checking ur Calcium level and are you dosing additives or planning on a CR? Coz my coralline algaes consume Calcium like hungry ghosts :pinch:

big green is hairy... The rest of the orange... greenish mushies are yuma...

More LPS...

Next year upgrade to CR from dosing will keep a few pieces of SPS

when keeping sps, try to stack ur rocks higher to the surface of ur tank to gain more light exposure. I got a few colonies high up close to the brim and with CR, they do grow and some coloration on it. Worth to give it a shot. They also need strong flow of wave B)

Upz... If U have noted, my tank is a partition tank... and I have placed the rocks sloping from left upwards to the right... the lower part of the slope is now populated with my sun corals. The higher parts of the slope will be reserved for some SPS. It is also the place where my tunze and return meet. So the water there is a bit more turbulent.

The two sides of the slope will be dotted with LPS, mushrooms and some blasso.

Basically thats it. Probably buy one purple tang and one chevron tang and that should be enough.

Just a tiny update. Will post more pictures tonight.

Current water parameter stand as below. All using Salifert test kits with PH using PH monitor.

PH = 8.1

KH = 9.6

CA = 480

Mag = 1290

PO = 0

NO3 = 0

Have been experiencing rapid coraline alage growth over my dead rock given the fact that my tank is only coming to 3 months old. In addition. MG seems to be depleting quite fast even though I have managed to pump it up to around 1300 on a regular basis. Any reason for that or no cause for concern even if MG continues to fall?

Fron the dining room...

There are some small SPS frags that have been given to me by 3 kind brothers from here and another forum. Hoping that they can survive before buying more frags... They are situtuated at the top of my slope... Too small to be seen from these photos I guess...

Bro, I like your purple rocks!!! :lol:

I like them too... The coraline algae spreads really fast once the water parameters are in the right range. Anyway I dun want to spread to my glass and tunze... It would be very difficult to clean up thereafter...

No more shopping for corals for the moment... Broke liao..
