Pls id this fish

Hi Guys,

Can id this fish? It has survive in my tank for one week already. Missing in action for the first few days after I bought it. Now, it's hidding beneath a rock. Occaionally came out to eat after I put it some frozen mysis shrimps.

I think someone can ID it for you but always pen down a stocking list or check out a fish before commiting, s-kali it a Fish

Stonogobiops nematodes aka the Filament-Finned Prawn Goby

in the wild, they have a symbiotic relationship wth pistol shrimps.

they share the same burrow, and food too!

Yesterday, I saw a small hairy crab, about 3 inches, hiding together with the fish in the same burrow. Will the crab harm it? I try to remove the crab but I couldn't coz it escape quite deep into the burrow.

The hairy crab probably would if it caught the fish sleeping. But this fish seems rather tank-smart to me. I would worry more about what the crab would do to snails and other organisms.

This goby needs regular feeding at least once every couple of days.

you can try keeping tiger pistol shrimp from ML ...they will stay together in the same burrow...like mine... with my goby ......cute right ..shrimp sharing home with goby.....
