looks like a hairy crab! best to remove it espeically if u have sps coz they are notorious for devouring acro tissues

cute little crabs GROW to be big nasty buggers.

i caught one recently, 1.5inches!!

i fed it to my undulated trigger.

it out up quite a fight...

grabbed the fish by the mouth!!!

took aout 5 mins before.......

i dont think its coral sand.. rather looks like marble/granite chips?

Definitely not coral sand! Marble chips more like it.... hopefully not silicate-based....

As for your hairy crab... suggest u remove it....

Bad. Most crabs should be flushed, except for maybe the small and harmless boxing crab. There are a few that MAY control algae but tend to eat other things as well.

I found at least 6 in my 2 ft tank. I hate these crabs. They are responsible for many of the mysterious disappearances in tanks, especially for shellfish and snails.
