ROWAphos & PURA Nitratelock in FR??

Just wonder whether anyone bro try putting in both ROWA and PURA together in FR? Not sure whether is there any chemical reaction for mixing the 2 media....theoretically, both use adsorption method, so should remove both Phosphate & Nitrate together....

You can do that, but bear in mind that since Pura Nitrate is best known because of it's ability to regenerate, meaning after the resins are exhausted (absorbed fully), it can be regenerate and reuse as new NO3 absorbing resins. If you were to mix them together, then there is no way you can seperate them anymore. You will have to buy it again.

the nitratelock packaging says that carbon dust impedes the nitrate removal ability of the nitratelock media, so i suspect that iron dust from the rowaphos might do the same. id say running them separately is best.
