may i know how to set up skimz phosreactor?

hi.. does anyone here know whether i can skip the 3rd step in setting up skimz phosreactor 200? the 3rd step is as follows...

3. Connect the reactor to a pump or tap with a hose tubing of diameter 12/16 mm

and gently flush thru the unit with freshwater to remove the fine particles of sorb-4 which will turn the water inside the reactor brown. Let the water run until it is clear inside.

btw, how long will it take for the water to turn clear? Actually, i've connected it to the pump in my sump, and so its a bit difficult for me to flush it thru using freshwater.. but if i cant skip the 3rd step, guess i'll have to juz do it...

You don't have to do the 3 step just run it and the water will clear in a few hours but remember to wash or change your filter wool if you have any.

not really is just that your water may turn brown a bit

since uve already connected the fr to yer sump, it defeats the purpose of flushing it wih freshwater..

i didnt run mine with freshwater too..

just let the browness clear up by itself
