Question on sps

Recommended Posts

Hi all, just bought a staghorn yest. Newbie in sps.

I have a Golden Clown Goby that always rest on the staghorn. Used to rest on other LPS, but since i intro the staghorn, it's been resting on it!

Anyone can advice if this will stress or kill the sps? Should I remove the clown goby?

this is the pic of the clown goby taken some time back.

Thanks in advance!

Clown goby is used to SPS in their nature environment which is why it has moved to your new staghorn.

You need to monitor closely your staghorn and the goby behaviour. If it start to bite or disturb the staghorn preventing the polyp extension, try and remove the goby ASAP.

I have seen some clown goby living happily with SPS. Usually in a tank with quite a fair bit, coz they can move about the SPSs.
