I maintain my calcium level by dosing Seachem Reef Advantage Calcium. Used to dissolve it in fresh water then drip them, nowadays super lazy, just scoop the powder and dump it in the sump! :P

However i have a problem maintaining the KH in my tank. Have to dose everyday, else if 1 day never dose, the KH drop to as low as 4!!! Dunno whether it's becos of the coralline algae. Gonna add a CR soon, kinda overkill for a 2ft tank.

I'm just using normal Grade 0 sand. The sand dollars are doing a fantastic job cleaning the sandbed!

This was what it looks like previously. Overstocked, overcrowded.

Don't like the very "squeezy" look. So took out everything, sold some fishes and corals, removed some LR, did a rescaping. Now I prefer my new "clean" look.

haha.... Bro, recognise some of the rics?

Not going to stock up liao. No space in the tank oredi. My aim now is to slowly nurse my injured pratas n brain back to health.

haha. . . a lot of rics garden originated from me. .

Its pretty impressive how much u can do to a 2ft cube.

To add a calcium reactor to ur tank is indeed overkill, but its a good investment for lazy people. No need everyday dose addictives!

I also dunno wat's wrong wif my tank's KH. Just can't seem to keep it stable. Will post update of the tank once i get a CR up and running!

Wow! 10x sand star in ur tank!

Looks like we are both looking for CR.

When i had the kalkreactor and calcium reactor running side by side for my previous set up, coraline algae bloomed like mad!

Most imptly, can stop dosing addictives!

in the long run, CR should be more cost effective, i think. At least, it is a one do everything equipment in maintaining the Ca, Mg, etc.... and less time consuming..
