Ways to reduce Nitrate

It's all depends on what fish your keeping.

As for Halo live stock stated, would recommend to reduce feeding to about 3 times a week or once every 2 days.

IMO,feeding is one of the main reason of contributing high nitrate. Also to take note that reducing NO3 is not just a next day or a week process to achieve or improve which most of us think,Its a long...... process.

It took mine NO3 50ppm to drop to zero in about a year. With strict discipline of once a week feeding, daily water changes of about 2 litre daily. Also uses lots of algae.

Does not required a sump to make use of algae. It's fine in the main tank with constant trimming.
