My 1st Mini Marine Tank

After being influenced so much by my buddy, I've finally decided to set up a humble mini tank (2 x 1.5 x 1.8) in my office.

Still rather 'Botak', though... Will start filling up slowly & keep you updated with more pictures.

Thanks for the comment. Yeah, I'm using a canister & the wavemaker will be installed pretty soon - relying on the flow output from the canister for time being. This tank is a few days old only

A few days old? Did u cycle ur tank or jus add sea water and start adding all the corals ? this hobby requires patience and committments. A full cycled tank will ensure the survival of ur fishes and corals.

I use live rocks & live sands. Ammonia & Nitrite checked twice daily and the reading is zero so far. That's why decided to get 2 Damsels & those corals

well then, but maybe advise to get a wavemaker for circulation, or else diatoms and dead will soon be form and the sand bed will get urgly

Nice tank. However, do monitor your water parameters closely cos your biological filtration system might not have matured yet. Limit the amount of food u feed your fish and corals.

lots of colour and nice suns...but only few days and u have stocked up so many at one go is rather risky...but wat the heck...most of us started of with a BANG and is from then that we learn to be humble and slow...not pouring cold water but just words of caution.. enjoy reefing..

i believe it is dying. that is one of the first sign of it dying.

I too got signs like wat u post on ur pix. Beary soon they will disappear. A senior reefer here ever mentioned to me that it was the work of some pest crabs that always hunt stars for food. Hermit could be another culprit All my stars went up lorry except blue linkia, wonder Y?
