Where can I get a decent fan to cool my nano? I saw alot of ppl using computer fans. But, how can I get it to be able to plug it into the socket in my house? Do I need some sort of converter and where to get it? My nano's temperature is now 30 degrees and sometimes even rise to 31.3 degrees celcius. What can I do? Somebody help!! Thanks a million in advance!

why not a chiller for your nano?? it is more reliable and better in term of evaporation rate.

if u wanna a fan , i would advice u to go for those AC fan like the sona or profantec fan... stronger and more efficient. can get it from petmart :)

Yes I agree, last time I use to have a 2 feet tank with a fan, but the evaporation rate was scary, everyday I have to top up. But I'm using chiller now, it really saves a lot of trouble. If you are unsure of how to change the power suply for the fan, you might want to consider get a fan from LFS. But the price is at least 4 to 5 times higher than those computer ones, I remember I bought the fan from one of the LFS at $40 - $50. And one thing is that they cannot last long, once salt start to appear on the fan, it will break down.

U can probably get a 12VDC adapter or maybe those old ones used in your cordless phones to fire up ur fan....

Take note of the V and amp.... match them properly..... u wun wan either of them to overwork... :)

thanks guys...haven been looking at this thread lately...I given up on my small pico which is 0.6 gallon. Now, I am working on my 30G nano tank....i think chiller or fan not needed as the temperature is quite stable... ;)

My tank is stable at the around 27-28 degres celsius. The highest it will go is also around 28.5 degrees celsius. So, I think it shld be okay ritez? And do I need a sump for a 30G. Currently my tank is emtpy with just saltwater running with a powerhead. Getting live rock soon for my tank. Cheers!
