The tank after it is complete, new and old water from the 2 years old tank was run for one month with some new and old live rocks... The fish was transfered first into the tank and after a few week I transfer my coral from the old tank one at a time. So that the new system can adapt to the increase load.

I DIY most part of the setup... it is fun but can be frustrating sometime when thing didnt work the way it is supposed to. It happen countless time in my setup... leaking been the most common problem...

leakages is a very common problem faced when DIY-ing setups. i had a elbow which leaked non-stop, even after i emptied like half a can of PVC glue onto it. its still seeping out at a rather slow rate.

anyway think i saw a chocolate chip starfish. its not exactly reefsafe...

dude. . ur rock scape will trap a lot of debris. . . try to blow one tunze into the rocks since u are not using a sand bed anyway.

p.s. Iwarna's sps display tank is also bare-bottom and it has 2 tunzes to blow debris on the bottom.
