Converting to BB Tank

After much consideration plus no buyer for my tank , I had decided to convert my tank to a BB FOWLR tank . Yesterday after a back breaking torture, I did a major of 85% new water change(mix with salt) and remove my sandbed. Reason of changin the water is because I dont have enough storage for the water as I am moving my entire tank (4x2.5x2) to another location.

Now I would want to check with all the bros in the forum, do I actually need to go through the ANN process ??? I havent put my fish in the tank yet, scare that they will just die..... Pls advise.

hi hi, if your bio filter (LR, caninster, etc) are still in place, changing the water wont have much effect. as you mentioned you have removed your sand bag, this might have some effect on your total bio capability... why not just wait for a week or so before you add anything in... no point rushing just to find another dead LS...

since u are using saltmix...i suggest u hav to let it cycle for at least 2 wks....

check ur water parameters b4 u add the fishes into ur tank....due to the major water change in ur tank..it is realli nt advisable to add in any LS...

im oso afraid ur LRs will have fungus...anyway...dun add any LS inside first and see how....if u hav power head...add into ur main tank for more circulation...
