AlexCWSoo
Here is a photo taken with same camera setting for a feel of the light. No Ideal if it is bright enought or not. Will have to wait for some rock in the tank to conclude. But it sure looks good. The white stuff in the photo are some acrylic bits left over during my cutting in the tank. SRC Member nakazoru Posted January 12, 2007 SRC Member Share Posted January 12, 2007 Now I see how your acrylic block comes in, as a water channel. Then I must say it is gona work like a beauty, even better than the solaris fan cooling. I guess you will have a mini radiator hanging somewhere. The liquid gasket is the same as those high thermal for engine block right, water tight cooling. Can even use CPU coolant. Cool stuff. SRC Member johntanjm Posted January 13, 2007 SRC Member Share Posted January 13, 2007 I love the yellow color wall! Is the water for testing or are you filling the tank for real already? There's too much silt in S'pore's waters redi. Also why we're fighting a losing battle in sg reef conservation. sea water from the sea might be deficient in certain properties. In nature this defeciency is easily addressed cos the water turn over rate is so high with all that big volume. In an aquarium, its a closed-controlled environment and such defieciencies will lead to problems in the future (i.e. no matter how you buffer, your pH kH can never rise) Recommend a good marine salt mix. Are you gonna put a cabinent around your tank? I love this open concept of your tank. exactly the feel i intended my tank to have but hahahahah yours is oooooooooh! way way way exceeding what i have. cannot compare at all man! AlexCWSoo
Yah...kind of understand the NSW things. But looking at quite a few LFS which use sea water inspire me to give it a try. Anywhere still have to top up with tap water and use 3/4 pail of Tropic Marine salt. Here is how the tank look after spending the whole afternoon to hunt down LR. Its just 2 hours of running. Feel that the 10 micron filter and the red dragon is doing it jobs. Will do scaping tomorrow. SRC Member fishtalk1517 Posted January 13, 2007 SRC Member Share Posted January 13, 2007 Great tank and investment, bro. for the rock scaping, u gonna raise it higher, I.M.O its a bit low. A higher rock scape might be more satisfying for ur corals display and more hiding place for ur fishes as well.
