Prata losing colour

Hi All,

Two of my pratas seem to be losing colour.

They have turned transparent with the red portions

becoming pinkish

all parameters are in check. din check strontium though.

orrr could the lights be outdated

anyone encounter this? pls advise, appreciate it

Did u just change ur lights recently? Too strong lights or insufficent lights can result in breaching of corals.

You may like to states the temperature and lights..

for the past 2 yrs, temp is between 27 and 29.. everything seems fine.

lighting using 2 x 150W MH

and 1 x 54W T5

All white, i believe is 6500k

although lately i did rescape and the height is higher.

my tank ht is 2.5ft, previously the pratas were on the sand bed which was abt 6inch from base. doing fine.

now no sand bed, from tank base to which the pratas lying abt 10-12inchs.

lights are abt 6-8inchs above water.

seems like closer to lights not tat good

If you did a rescape, move its position. Especially change of lights and current, and slight change in position. It may bleach slowly. Stress...

If you leave it alone, it may come back in 1 to 2 mth time, if it get use to it. I suggest juz leave it alone...

yeah tink the best solution is to leave it alone.
