sorry to hear that

so what do u intend to do?

changing to SE or shifting the bulb higher?

BTW what's the wattage of your bulbs...can the intensity reach the bottom of the tank with 14inches above WS?

I'm using 250watt. The light able to penerate depth of 2.2ft.

No intension to change to SE as its going to cost a sum of money again.

Maybe shift the pendant higher is the next alternative lor

Coral_ClamS,

They are aquarium lighting from reputated brand. Seem okie for the bottom clam and coral even I shift the pendant higher, but I hope not too high as it gonna waste my electricity shining light out of the tank.

For 3ft tank, 1 to 2 pendant is enough, this depends on the angle of reflection from the pendant too.

DE bulb only come in <6.5k, 10k, 13k and 14k. The only 20k is XM which is only available in US.

orgasbt,

They stated that its a UV shield, but then, still my acro got sun burnt... <_<

Hon, its very strange when you think about it.

I suspect your UV glass shield is not doing its work. Maybe you can source from another place?

First time, I heard of a good commercial unit like yours burning up corals... even SPS... if you can't solve this problem... you can't keep corals for a very long time.. :(
