Product Summary:

One of the unique things about the Electone is its three keyboard - Upper, Lower, and Pedal. It's one of the few musical instruments in the world that lets you truly feel and experience the music with your whole body. Play the melody with your right on the Upper keyboard, provide the accompaniment with your left hand on the Lower, and lay down the bass with your foot on the Pedals. And remember, each keyboard can play a different instrument sound, letting you sound like a full band or orchestra - just you and the EL-100

The EL-100 has a total of 173 highly realistic instrument voices, from piano and violin to trumpet and guitar. It also features 66 dynamic rhythms - ranging from march and waltz to rock and Latin. What's more, the EL-100 is upwardly compatible* with the preset voices and rhythms on other model Electones - letting you share and swap your song data with teachers and friends.

*Since the internal tone generator of the EL-100 is AWM, songs created using preset voices on higher models may sound slightly different than expected. Also, keep in mind other differences that may affect the sound: Unlike some higher models, the EL-100 does not have User Voices nor after touch.

Harmonious in both sound and appearance, the stylish exterior of the EL-100 hints at the musical wonders inside. With the traditional, dark rosewood-like finish of the side panels and music stand, this musical instrument is beautiful both inside and out.

In addition to the exceptionally easy-to-understand LCD that shows you voice and other important information, the Electone also has a built-in Music Disk Recorder (MDR) for recording and playing back your performances. Moreover, it's compatible with the highly popular and versatile XG format, for accurate playback of various song data.

No matter you level of experience, the Electone lets you sound like a pro. The advanced Auto Bass Chord (A.B.C.) function takes your single-finger chords and turn them into full, dynamic accompaniment - automatically. And with the 40-watt built-in stereo speaker system, your performance will pakc extra power and punch.

Built into the EL-100 is a convenient TO HOST terminal* that lets you easily and instantly hook up your Electone to a computer. Together, they open up a whole new world of musical exploration - letting you share and download various Electone data through the Internet.

*Connection between the Electone and a computer requires an optional cable.

Yamaha is also developing a series of songbooks - containing both sheet music and floppy disks with song data - for your learning and performing pleasure. Both educational and fun, they feature professionally programmed arrangements using the richly textured, dynamic accompaniment functions of the EL-100.
