Please Help KH

Hai, can anyone out there can tell me how to boost the KH cause my current tank is at 7. Before is bt 9-11 dKH.

You can slowly dose with a KH buffer. Most LFS do carry this product.. different brands available. Just take note what you buy cos some are a combination of KH and pH buffer. Meaning it will raise both your KH and pH. You might wanna get one that is purely a KH buffer. Read the labels carefully.

Yes it is possible. dKH is a measure of carbonate hardness, while pH is a measure of the acidity of water.

They are linked in that, the more carbonates there is in (i.e. the "harder" the)water, the more difficult it is change the pH...note more difficult does not imply impossible. There are ways in which the pH can change independently of the dKH levels, CO2 being one the most common example.

thanks for the info, i've been buffering my dKH as it was at 7.7, with Kent Tec CB, using part B to buffer the dKH, moved it up to 8 now and haven't seen a big increase in PH so far.
